This program is available to households that have been found eligible for the Energy Assistance Program.  Emergency Benefit (EB) (formerly know as Crisis assistance benefit) is used to ensure that households have heat during the heating season.  The Crisis funds are very restricted this year and are only used to assist unpreventable no-heat circumstances and to prevent households from being evicted due to energy disconnection.  Emphasis has been placed on helping households resolve their energy emergency by applying for Cold Weather Rule protection, and making payment arrangement with their vendors.
