Bi-County Community Action Programs, Inc. (BI-CAP) is seeking a Supportive Housing Specialist at the BI-CAP Agency office in Bemidji, MN.
This position is responsible to assist eligible clients with obtaining and maintaining adequate housing by providing supportive services in which needs are identified and services are designated to meet those needs. Manage services related to accessing and obtaining housing. Orient clients to housing programs and referral options, support services, and housing options. Serve as a liaison between landlord, tenant, service providers and the community related to housing needs. Complete and submit required reports. Assist with grant writing and grant proposal submission. Provide individualized supportive housing services for clients. Communicates courteously and professionally, and maintains working relationships with others in carrying out job functions. Attends and represents the program and agency in a responsible, professional manner at all meetings. Performs all job duties in compliance with safety guidelines and with an ongoing awareness of safety practices.
Requirements: The position requires an Associate’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or closely related Human Service field. A Bachelor’s degree and prior experience in a human service organization is preferred. A valid driver’s license or other evidence of mobility is required. Should have familiarity with housing activities, computer knowledge, record keeping and/or client intake. Assists with food preparation and cleaning of dishes and kitchen facility. Will follow general instructions from the Head Cook. Provides backup for the Head Cook during absences and will provide direction/assistance to the Kitchen Assistant and substitute as necessary.

Bi-County Community Action Programs, Inc. (BI-CAP) is seeking an Office Support Specialist II for its office location in Bemidji, MN.
Performs administrative/clerical/office activities to assist agency management in administering programs and services offered to the community. Incumbents interact with the general public by providing information and assistance as it relates to the department’s activities/services, rules and regulations that require knowledge of agency policies, procedures, and activities. At this level incumbents are expected to be familiar with most agency activities and are able to answer questions requiring greater knowledge and requiring more detailed explanations.
Requirements: Minimum job requirements are reading, communication, math and problem-solving skills equivalent to a High School Diploma or GED and three years of related experience in a job involving office-related skills. Must have strong Microsoft skills, including Word, Excel and Power Point. Bi-County Community Action Programs, Inc. (BI-CAP) is seeking an Assistant Teacher Float for its Head Start location in Backus, MN.
Assistant Teacher Float provides classroom support for teachers by participating in activities and maintaining sufficient adult leadership in the classroom to accomplish learning objectives. Assistant Teacher Float is responsible for assisting the classroom teacher with the effective operation of the Head Start classroom to promote and enhance the School Readiness of children and families in conformance with Head Start regulations.
Requirements: Assistant Teacher Float requires Preschool CDA; or enrolled in a CDA to be completed within 2 years; or enrolled in a program leading to an AA or BA in early education.
