Bi-County Community Action Programs, Inc. (BI-CAP) is seeking a Program Accountant in Bemidji, MN.
This position completes Fiscal department’s support functions such as providing services and information to Agency programs, funding sources, and auditors. Assists in meeting with Program Managers and other staff regularly regarding budget development, monitoring and administration. Assists in preparing new chart of accounts for grants/contracts as needed. Assists in calculating and submitting cash requests for grants. Assists in overseeing procedures for the proper timing of expenditures, and assists in and/or completes various General Ledger/journal entry processes. Assists in and/or oversees month end processes, including Cost Allocation. Communicates courteously and professionally and maintains working relationships with others in carrying out job functions.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and two or more years of related work experience, or equivalent.  Experience with grant reporting preferred. Program Accountant Job Description

Bi-County Community Action Programs, Inc. (BI-CAP) is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Head Start Preschool Teacher Assistant for its Head Start location in Bemidji, MN.
Temporary position. The Preschool Teacher Assistant is responsible for supporting the Teachers in the effective operation of the Head Start classroom to promote and enhance the School Readiness of children and families in compliance with Head Start and MN Rule 3 regulations.
Requirements: Preschool Teacher Assistant requires a High School Diploma or GED and candidate currently holds or, within two years of hire, attains a CDA credential, or equivalent, or an Early Childhood associate or baccalaureate degree. BI-CAP will provide training for the CDA credential, at no charge.

40 hours per week for approximately 12 weeks. $12.75/hr. Unbenefited.
Teacher Assistant Job Description

Bi-County Community Action Programs, Inc. (BI-CAP) is seeking a Classroom Coordinator serving Cass County, in Backus, MN.
The Primary role of the Classroom Coordinator is direct supervision, coordination and support of classroom staff to further children’s development toward their school readiness goals. The Classroom Coordinator will monitor and provide assistance to teachers in the implementation and adaptation of curricula for the group and individual needs of children in each Head Start Classroom.
Requirements: Baccalaureate or Advanced Degree in Early Childhood Education or a Baccalaureate or Advanced Degree and equivalent coursework in Early Childhood Education with Early Education teaching experience. Prior supervisory experience is preferred.

Classroom Coordinator Job Description

Kitchen Substitutes assist with food preparation and cleaning of dishes and kitchen facility in absence of regular kitchen staff. Will follow general instructions from the Head Cook.
Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED. Prior experience with food preparation in a commercial setting is preferred, but not required. Applicants must pass an OHS Background Study and meet MN Rule 3 Licensing requirements.

Requirements: Incumbent must be at least 18 years old. Preferred experience working with children ages birth to 5 years old. The job requires a High School Diploma or GED, and skills in reading, communication, math and problem solving. Applicants must pass a DHS Background Study and meet DHS & MN Rule 3 licensing requirements.
Full time, 32 hours per week through the 10-month school year – $11.73/hr., w/benefits during the school year.
