Temporary position. Teacher is responsible for the effective operation of the toddler classroom to promote and enhance the School Readiness of children and families in compliance with Head Start and MN Rule 3 regulations.
Requirements: Teacher Sub requires minimum of a Child Development Associate Certificate (CDA); or a 2 or 4 year degree in Early Childhood Education; or a degree in a field related to early childhood education and coursework equivalent to a major relating to early childhood education, with experience teaching preschool-age children. Applicants must pass a DHS Background Study and must meet DHS & MN Rule 3 licensing requirements.

Toddler Teacher Job Description

Bi-County Community Action Programs, Inc. (BI-CAP) is seeking a Kitchen Assistant for its Head Start Center in Bemidji, MN.
The Kitchen Assistant assists with cleaning of dishes and the kitchen facility; and delivery and retrieval of food under supervision of the Head Cook and Assistant Cook.
Requirements: Minimum job requirements include the ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Prior experience working in a commercial kitchen setting is preferred, but not required.

Temporary position. The Preschool Teacher Aide is responsible for supporting the Teachers in the effective operation of the Head Start classroom to promote and enhance the School Readiness of children and families in compliance with Head Start and MN Rule 3 regulations.
Requirements: Incumbent must be at least 18 years old. The job requires a High School Diploma or GED, and skills in reading, communication, math and problem solving.  Must have a strong commitment to BI-CAP’s values of collaboration, innovation and compassion as well as a respect for diversity. Applicants must pass a DHS Background Study and meet DHS & MN Rule 3 licensing requirements.
32 hours per week, approximately 8 week position. $11.50/hr. Unbenefitted.

Toddler Teacher Job Description

Bi-County Community Action Programs, Inc. (BI-CAP) is seeking an Accountant for its Fiscal Department in Bemidji, MN.
The Accountant completes Fiscal department’s support functions such as providing services and information to Agency programs, funding sources, and auditors. Assists in meeting with Program Managers and other staff regularly regarding budget development, monitoring and administration. Assists in preparing new chart of accounts for grants/contracts as needed. Prepares and processes appropriate fixed assets and deprecation. Assists in overseeing procedures for the proper timing of expenditures, and assists in and/or completes various General Ledger/journal entry processes. Coordinates the gathering of supporting schedules and information for the Auditors. Communicates courteously and professionally and maintains working relationships with others in carrying out job functions.
Requirements: Four-year accounting degree and two or more years of related work experience, or equivalent.

Bi-County Community Action Programs, Inc. (BI-CAP) is seeking Kitchen Substitutes for its Head Start locations in Bemidji, Blackduck and Backus, MN.
Kitchen Substitutes assist with food preparation and cleaning of dishes and kitchen facility in absence of regular kitchen staff. Will follow general instructions from the Head Cook.
Requirements: Prior experience with food preparation in a commercial setting is preferred, but not required.
